The team came together during the summer months of the pandemic, Tyler Kelly and Nidal Harvey had recently partnered on a project to bring Pitch Madness, a startup founder debate competition, to an online audience and raise money for frontline healthcare workers.
Prior to this event, Nidal had been working with Charlie Stephens, who had been hosting his show Leaders Live at Microsoft's NYC HQ. The show streamed on LinkedIn Live as they interviewed NYC's top VCs and CEOs around leadership and business best practices.
The trio connected to leverage their past experiences and form a new kind of media that would be educational and entertaining in an effort to appeal to a broader audience interested in learning more about the venture capital industry. PrimeTime VC's debut show was a hit as it implemented ESPN like graphics and sounds not typically seen at your typical ZOOM webinar.
There's a growing interest around investing in tech companies as it's never been easier for the general public to invest in them. This inspired us to develop programming that provides unique insights and opinions from experts in the space in a fun and engaging way.
PrimeTime VC has evolved into bi-weekly show highlighting the strategies and personalities of the Top Startup Investors in the World.
Our programming is designed for the “Robinhood Generation” (We prefer M1 Finance) of young professionals looking for quick, actionable investment insights. Our goal is to Entertain, Educate, and help our audience take Action, whether that's to help with their own startup or investing in the public and private markets.
We're also the boots on the ground within venture capital, identifying the top emerging fund managers to bring on the show before their household names.
